ReplyDeleteWhen you need to move from x6 to x7 exadata- what is the procedure oracle suggests ?
From eight to quarter rack move - i think there is no need to upgrade the whole rack . My understanding is enabling the resource at server levels to meet to quarter rack configuration is fine.
Now lets say - i need to move from x6 quater rack to x7 full rack or quarter rack . In this case should i buy a new x7 full rack machine or can i extened x6 by adding more nodes ( DB & storage) to meet x7 configuration.. or should i know anything else ?
Am not talking abut uprding the software - here am i need to upgrade my whole exdata machine.. ?
Thanks
